Mission

Children’s Cancer Connection (CCC) connects Iowa families affected by childhood cancer by providing nearly 60 program opportunities annually that encourage relationships and strengthen community.

Key Services Provided

Children’s Cancer Connection’s three service areas include Camp Heart Connection (oncology, sibling, day, family and teen camps); support programs and outings (Kids Club, teen programs, Comfort Connection, scholarships, Winter Wishes and more); and the My Journey Series hospital-based programs featuring the My Journey Book, Beads4Bravery and Courage Store.

Key Audiences Served

CCC serves families throughout Iowa that are affected by childhood cancer, offering nearly 60 programs annually that connect them with others on similar journeys. The organization serves the entire family for the entire journey, regardless of treatment outcome. CCC offers services to over 800 Iowa families — all free of charge.

Ways to Give

  • Donate at ccciowa.org/donate.

  • Sponsor a CCC fundraising event or support program.

  • Volunteer at a program, event, at camp or in the office!

  • Shop from CCC’s program wish lists.

  • Provide gifts for a child or family during our Winter Wishes program.

What are the most immediate needs to support your organization?

The best ways to support Iowa families affected by childhood cancer are through financial gifts or volunteer service. Gifts of any size are appreciated and make a difference. Consider a one-time gift, become a monthly donor or corporate sponsor, or designate your workplace giving to CCC. You can also attend a fundraising event or host a third-party fundraising event for CCC. CCC relies on 20,000 volunteer hours annually to execute its mission. Volunteers can help with many needs, including office help, fundraising events, as program volunteers, camp counselors or day volunteers, and with board service.
