Mission
At Goodwill of Central Iowa (GCI), we are dedicated to making purposeful employment possible for all.
Key Services Provided
GCI offers skill-building programs, supported employment assistance, life skills coaching, employment assessments and job readiness training to those within our community facing barriers to employment. Barriers can include intellectual or physical disabilities, mental illness, socioeconomic challenges, transportation, lack of education and more.
Key Audiences Served
GCI serves people of all walks of life, backgrounds and skill levels within a 22-county region across Central Iowa. We work together with our community to support our mission through the operation of one centralized training facility, 13 retail stores, one donation center and one outlet location.

What are the most immediate needs to support your organization?
As a social enterprise, Goodwill of Central Iowa operates 13 retail locations, one donation center and one outlet location to fund our mission and offer programs and services to our community members. You can help us make purposeful employment possible for all Central Iowans by shopping with us in our store or online, donating your gently used household items and clothing, and helping spread the word about all of the good things Goodwill does for our community. Community members and organizations can also make tax-deductible financial contributions to fund our programming.
